2027: ADC Challenges Tinubu over Unfulfilled Electricity Promise

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu's administration of failing to deliver on a 2023 electricity pledge, amidst calls for accountability and improved power supply.

The opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of failing to deliver on a 2023 electricity pledge, amidst calls for accountability and improved power supply. According to reports from the Vanguard News () and Daily Post Nigeria (), the ADC Presidential Campaign Council (ADC-PCC) argues that more than three years after the pledge, Nigerians are still grappling with persistent power outages, repeated national grid collapses, and inadequate electricity supply. The ADC-PCC has also accused the Tinubu government of a plot to weaken opposition, as reported by Vanguard News (). These claims come as Nigerians continue to demand improved public services, particularly in the critical area of electricity supply. The ADC-PCC has challenged Tinubu to defend his administration’s performance in this area and explain why Nigerians have not yet seen the promised improvements.
