According to multiple reports, the Presidency has clarified rumours surrounding the health of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a statement, the Presidency assured Nigerians that Tinubu is in good health, putting to rest concerns about his wellbeing that had arisen due to his prolonged absence from Abuja.
In an interview with Daily Trust, Presidential Spokesperson Garba Shehu confirmed Tinubu’s good health and explained that the President does not need to be physically present in Abuja to carry out his duties. This clarification comes after weeks of speculation about Tinubu’s whereabouts.
Shehu also emphasised that Tinubu remains committed to serving Nigeria and has continued to engage with key stakeholders both within and outside the country. The President’s absence is reportedly due to official engagements abroad, according to the Presidency.
