In a surprising turn of events, the much-anticipated court judgment in the case between Nollywood actress Judy Austin and her ex-husband Emmanuel Obasi has been delayed. Premium Times Nigeria reported that the case was adjourned to November 24th, 2026.
The case stems from a dispute over custody of their daughter, Rita, following their divorce. According to Premium Times, Judy Austin accused Emmanuel Obasi of neglecting their child and seeking to take her abroad without her consent.
This is not the first time the case has been adjourned. In July, the court postponed the hearing due to the unavailability of one of the parties’ lawyers. The reason for this latest delay remains unclear.
