In a statement, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Joe Abang, urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite the nation’s ongoing challenges. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Abang believes that by supporting their leaders, Nigerians can encourage them to do what is right for the country.
‘On this 66th Independence Day anniversary, I urge all Nigerians not to lose hope,’ Abang said. ‘We should continue to support our leaders to do what is right and in the best interest of our dear nation.’
Abang’s call comes after a cleric, Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, appealed for prayers and renewed commitment from Nigerians, as well as the Labour Party urging Nigerians not to lose hope.
The ongoing challenges facing Nigeria include economic instability, insecurity, and political disputes. Despite these difficulties, Abang’s message emphasizes the importance of unity and support within the nation.
This sentiment echoes that of many Nigerian leaders and citizens as the country celebrates its 66th Independence Day.
