Nollywood Film ‘Agbara Nla’ Breaks Preview Sales Record with N71 Million

Nollywood’s faith-based film, Agbara Nla: The Return, has made history with a staggering N71 million in preview sales before its official release. According to reports from Nigerian Box Office, the film generated an impressive N70 million from 12,134 admissions during its preview period between September 25 and October 1. This record-breaking performance places Agbara Nla: The Return as one of the highest-grossing Nollywood films in recent times.

The film is a remake of the 1993 classic Agbara Nla, which has maintained its popularity over the years. Its impressive preview sales indicate strong anticipation among moviegoers for this much-awaited sequel.

Agbara Nla: The Return has yet to release official box office figures for its opening weekend, but industry experts are optimistic that it will continue to dominate at the cinemas.

This achievement comes amidst a period of growth and recognition for Nollywood on both local and international fronts. The sector’s increased investment, improved production values, and global distribution deals have contributed to its rising profile on the world stage.
