In a tragic turn of events, a tanker fire in Cross River State has left one person dead and another injured. The Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, confirmed the incident in a statement. This latest fire adds to Cross River's recent series of fire emergencies, with the state fire service reporting 17 incidents between January and September, causing an estimated N2.5 billion in property losses and six injuries. The cause of these frequent fires remains unclear, but the state government has called for increased safety measures and investigations into potential causes.
