NSITF Warns Against Fake Recruitment Scams

In a public notice, the NSITF cautioned Nigerians against falling victim to fake recruitment advertisements and forged appointment letters circulating online. According to Vanguard News, the warning was issued in a memorandum dated October 5th and distributed to regional and branch managers of the Fund.

The NSITF highlighted that these scams are designed to deceive job seekers by offering them employment opportunities that do not exist. The Fund urged Nigerians to be wary of such advertisements, especially those that request for financial transactions or personal data.

This warning comes amidst increasing reports of recruitment scams in Nigeria. Daily Post Nigeria also reported on the issue, emphasizing the importance of verifying job offers before proceeding with any transaction or sharing sensitive information.
