Fast-tracking Food and Nutrition Bill: Shettima’s Pledge for Accountability

Vice President Kashim Shettima has pledged to fast-track the Food and Nutrition Bill, according to THISDAYLIVE. The move is aimed at protecting funding and instilling accountability in the sector. Shettima’s announcement comes following Nigeria’s commitment of $26 million to nutrition, which the Vice President claims unlocked a $52 million matching fund. This development deepens Nigeria’s cooperation with Ethiopia in various sectors, including security, aviation, trade, investment, and food security. The exact timeline for the fast-tracking of the Bill remains unclear.
