Abuja Continental Hotel Denies TUC’s Anti-Labour Allegations, Cites Court Order

The Abuja Continental Hotel has denied allegations of anti-labour practices levied against it by the Trade Union Congress (TUC), according to multiple reports. The hotel, in a statement, cited a court order as evidence that the matter is currently being addressed in court. The TUC had accused the hotel of poor working conditions and unfair labour practices, with the union threatening to embark on a strike. However, the hotel’s management has vehemently denied the claims, stating that they are committed to maintaining fair and just employment practices. It is unclear when the facility began operating under the current management, but NNPC has not said when the facility began operating. The news of the denial comes as a relief to many, as the hotel is a significant employer in the region. The hotel’s management has not commented on when the matter in court is expected to be resolved.
