The All Progressives Congress (APC) has defended Bola Tinubu’s speech at a recent rally in Kaduna, stating that his simple appearance and words were sufficient. According to Vanguard News, a senior APC official said, ‘All the president needed to do was to show up and say to the people in Kaduna, ‘Thank you for your hospitality, I appreciate your support, please do so again in 2027.’ If that’s all he said, he did the job.’ It is unclear what specific statements Tinubu made at the rally or what prompted this defense. However, the APC’s stance indicates a focus on maintaining support in Kaduna ahead of the 2027 elections.
