A new report from the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) has highlighted persistent delays in the country’s tax administration system. According to the Tax Perception Survey Report 2026, about one in five households and businesses that sought to resolve tax-related issues in Nigeria waited more than a month for a resolution or said their complaints were rarely resolved. The report, which surveyed over 1,000 households and businesses across the country, also found that while 60.5 percent of respondents were satisfied with the communication and transparency of tax authorities, 20.1 percent expressed dissatisfaction.
