PDP Warns State Executives Against Engaging Non-Party Members as Polling Agents for 2027 Elections
The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a warning to its state executives against engaging non-party members as polling agents for the 2027 general elections.

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has issued a stern warning to its state executives, cautioning them against engaging non-party members as polling agents for the forthcoming 2027 general elections. According to Premium Times, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has opened its online portal for political parties to submit the details of their polling agents ahead of the elections. The PDP, in a bid to ensure transparency and prevent vote-rigging, has emphasized the need for all polling agents to be party members. This is not the first time the PDP has issued such a warning. In 2019, the party issued a similar advisory following concerns over the use of non-party members as polling agents during the general elections. The caution comes as political parties gear up for the 2027 elections. The PDP, being one of the major political parties in Nigeria, is keen to ensure a level playing field and a free and fair election process.
