FG to Return Over N600bn to Natural Resources Fund – RMAFC

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has uncovered nearly N600 billion allegedly deducted by the Federal Government from the Natural Resources Development Fund outside the provisions of the law, as reported by Tribune Online. According to the Chairman of the RMAFC, Dr Mohammed Bello Shehu, this unlawful deduction was disclosed at the Abuja roundtable on Promise to Proof: The Renewed Hope Conversation, an event organised by unknown parties. The RMAFC chair did not specify when the Federal Government might return the funds or if any steps have been taken towards the refund so far.
