The Nigerian Army has been actively engaged in operations across Kebbi State, resulting in the rescue of five kidnapped women and the arrest of eight suspected bandits. According to reports by Daily Post Nigeria and Vanguard News, troops of the Nigerian Army rescued two women abducted from the residence of Alhaji Aminu Mai Suga, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) chairman in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State. In a separate operation, troops of Sector 2, Operation Fansan Yamma, rescued three kidnapped victims in Sakaba Local Government Area. This comes after the Army neutralized six terrorists and arrested 11 suspected collaborators in Borno State, as reported by Vanguard News. The Army’s efforts in combating kidnapping and terrorism in northern Nigeria are commendable, but the ongoing security challenges necessitate increased vigilance and support from the government and the public.
