In a major blow to property fraudsters, a Lagos court has sentenced a couple, Harry Uyanwanne and Oluwakemi Odia, also known as Kristein Uyanwanne, to a combined 28 years in prison for a N67.6 million property fraud. According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Justice Mojisola Dada of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja delivered the judgement on Wednesday, 2nd November 2026. The couple had previously been sentenced to 10 years each in 2024, but were found to have committed further fraudulent activities, earning them an additional 14 years each. This latest sentence brings their combined imprisonment term to 28 years. The EFCC disclosed that the couple, who are said to have defrauded several individuals, will serve their sentences concurrently. The court’s decision serves as a stern warning to property fraudsters and a reassurance to Nigerians that the law will take its course against those who engage in such criminal activities.
