Couple Shares Infertility Struggle After Five Failed IVF Attempts

A Nigerian couple, Mr. and Mrs. Adebayo, have shared their heartbreaking yet inspiring journey through seven years of infertility, culminating in the successful birth of their daughter after five failed IVF attempts.

Speaking with Punch Newspapers, Mr. Adebayo recounted their struggle, saying, ‘Our journey was filled with disappointment, financial strain, and emotional turmoil.’

The couple, who have been married for nine years, started trying for a baby in 2015. After a year of unsuccessful attempts, they sought medical help. Over the following seven years, they underwent five IVF cycles, all of which failed.

Mr. Adebayo explained that the constant setbacks took a toll on their marriage, saying, ‘At times, it felt like our relationship was on the brink of collapse.’

However, they persevered, drawing strength from their faith and each other. Finally, in 2023, they welcomed their daughter, Adaora, into their lives.

Mrs. Adebayo expressed gratitude for their journey, saying, ‘We are so grateful for Adaora. She is a testament to our resilience and faith.’

The couple hopes that by sharing their story, they can offer hope and encouragement to other couples facing infertility struggles.
