Court Delays Decision on Taraba APC Chairmanship Primary Dispute

A Taraba State High Court has reserved ruling in a suit challenging the exclusion of Abdulhadi Haruna Lau from the All Progressives Congress (APC) state chairmanship primary, Premium Times Nigeria reported on October 8. According to the report, Lau, a former member of the House of Representatives, is seeking to unseat the current chairman, Inuwa Abdulkadir, who was elected on May 25. The dispute stems from allegations that the primary election was manipulated to favour Abdulkadir. The court has yet to announce a date for the ruling. The outcome of the dispute could have significant implications for the APC in Taraba State, as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
