Delta Police Arrest Four Suspected Armed Robbers, Cultists

The Delta State Police Command has reported the arrest of four suspected armed robbers and cultists in separate operations in Umunede and Ughelli.

In a bid to curb the escalating rate of crime in Delta State, the Police Command has arrested four suspected armed robbers and cultists in separate operations in Umunede and Ughelli. According to the Punch Newspapers, the suspects were nabbed by the police in a series of raids that took place over the past week. During the operations, the police recovered several firearms and a substantial amount of drugs from the suspects. While the motives behind the arrests are yet to be clearly stated, it is believed that the suspects may be members of various cult groups operating in the region. This development comes as a relief to residents of the affected areas, who have been living in fear of these criminal elements. The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Hafiz Mohammed Inuwa, has assured the public that the command will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all citizens in the state. This is not the first time the police have made significant arrests in the fight against crime in Delta State. In September, the command announced the arrest of 12 suspected armed robbers and kidnappers, recovering several weapons and vehicles from their possession. As the police continue to make progress in their efforts to maintain law and order, residents can only hope that such operations will lead to a significant reduction in crime rates in the state.
