Download Your NIN Slip Free: A Step-by-Step Guide by NIMC

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has provided a guide on how Nigerians can download their National Identification Number (NIN) slip at no cost. This move comes as many Nigerians grapple with the process of obtaining and printing their NIN slips. According to Punch Newspapers, the commission has introduced a new platform called NINAuth to facilitate the process. To download your NIN slip free, follow these steps:
1. Visit the NIMC website at nimc.gov.ng.
2. Click on the ‘NINAuth’ icon on the homepage.
3. Enter your NIN and the email address associated with your NIN.
4. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
5. Your NIN slip will be sent to your email inbox.
The NIMC has noted that this service is free and there should be no charges for downloading your NIN slip through the NINAuth platform. However, it’s important to be vigilant against scammers who may try to exploit the situation by charging for this service. Always ensure you are dealing directly with the NIMC when accessing their services. This step-by-step guide is aimed at making the process of downloading your NIN slip easier and more accessible for Nigerians. It’s crucial to have your NIN slip as it is required for various official transactions, including SIM card registration.
