EPL: Tottenham Stun Chelsea 2-0 as Cole Palmer Sees Red

In a shocking turn of events in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur pulled off a rare win at Chelsea, securing a 2-0 victory on Saturday. This was Tottenham’s first win of the campaign, following their victory against Coventry City. The game, however, took an unexpected turn when Chelsea’s Cole Palmer was shown a red card. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Palmer’s dismissal came after two yellow cards, leaving Chelsea to play with ten men for the remainder of the match. The own goal from Chelsea keeper Mike Penders gave Spurs the lead, before Mathys Tel added another to secure the win for Tottenham. This marked Tottenham’s second win at Chelsea in 36 years, as reported by Vanguard News. Chelsea manager, Xabi Alonso, attributed the defeat to poor performance, particularly in the second half, according to another report by Daily Post Nigeria. This loss leaves Chelsea with a single defeat in their Premier League season so far, having previously held a perfect record.
