On Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, the Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Alhaji Mohammed Kazaure, has called on Nigerians to renew their faith in the country. In a statement made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday, Kazaure urged citizens not to be disheartened by the country’s challenges but rather focus on its potential and work towards building a better nation.
Kazaure emphasized the need for unity among Nigerians as the key to overcoming the nation’s problems. He noted that despite the numerous challenges facing the country, there was still hope for a brighter future if Nigerians stood together.
The FCC Chair called on leaders at all levels to lead by example and prioritize the welfare of the people. He urged them to work tirelessly towards ensuring that the promises made during electioneering campaigns were fulfilled.
‘It is essential that our leaders live up to their promises and always put the interest of the people first,’ Kazaure said.
The call by Kazaure comes amidst growing concerns about the state of the nation. Nigeria has been grappling with issues such as insecurity, economic challenges, and political unrest.
According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Bangladesh has felicitated Nigeria on its 66th Independence Anniversary. The Government of Bangladesh, through a statement by its High Commissioner to Nigeria, Abdul Hannan, expressed hope that the friendship between the two countries would continue to deepen.
In another development, Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has called on Nigerians to remain united and resilient during the nation’s 66th independence anniversary celebrations. Soludo made this call while speaking at the Independence Day parade held in Awka, the state capital.
