FG Expands CNG Network with New Refuelling Station in Abuja
The Federal Government has expanded its Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) network with a new refuelling station in Abuja, as reported by multiple news sources.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has taken a significant step towards improving the nation’s CNG infrastructure with the unveiling of a new refuelling station in Abuja. According to multiple news outlets, this development is part of the government’s push to close the gap in CNG refuelling availability.
The new station, which is strategically located in Abuja, is expected to boost the adoption of CNG as a cleaner and cost-effective alternative to petrol and diesel.
As reported by TheCable, Arise News, LEADERSHIP Newspapers, FRCN HQ, and EnviroNews Nigeria, the new facility is a collaboration between the Federal Government and private sector partners.
The total investments in Nigeria’s CNG sector are now estimated to be around $2.6 billion, according to Arise News.
This expansion is expected to improve the availability of CNG for vehicles, especially in the nation’s capital, and contribute to a cleaner environment and reduced fuel costs for Nigerians.
