In a major development in the race for Gombe State governorship, a Federal High Court has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) primary election that produced Isa Ali Pantami as its candidate. The court order was delivered on Friday by Justice Amina Aliyu Mohammed. According to reports from Nigeria Info FM and Daily Post Nigeria, the ruling followed a suit filed by Usman Aliyu Garry challenging the emergence of Prof. Pantami as the PDP governorship candidate. The judge ordered the PDP to conduct a fresh primary election within 21 days.
