In a celebration held at the Michael Okpara Auditorium, Umuahia, on Saturday, Governor Otti of Abia State rewarded the students who won the world debate championship for the state with a total sum of N2 million. According to a report by Premium Times Nigeria, the champion team consisted of students from Abia Model Junior Secondary School. Otti praised the students’ achievements, stating that their victory was not only a testament to their debating skills but also a reflection of the state’s commitment to education and intellectual development. The governor’s gesture is expected to motivate more students to excel in academics and extracurricular activities.
