HBM Nigeria’s Profit Surges 31% to N272 Billion

In a notable development, HBM Nigeria Plc, formerly Lafarge Africa Plc, has announced a substantial 31% surge in profit after tax to N272 billion for the first nine months of 2026. According to a report by Tribune Online, this growth was driven by factors such as increased sales volumes, improved distribution efficiency, and tighter cost management. The cement manufacturer, however, experienced a slight setback due to extensive plant maintenance that impacted third-quarter earnings. The report highlights that this impressive growth underscores the resilience of the Nigerian cement industry, even amidst challenges. This positive financial performance is a testament to HBM Nigeria’s strategic efforts to optimize operations and adapt to market conditions.

The Tribune Online report states that HBM Nigeria will release its full audited financial results for 2026 in the coming months, providing a comprehensive overview of the company’s performance throughout the year.
