The Katsina State governor, Dr. Dikko Radda, has lauded the efforts of Nigeria’s military, Department of State Services (DSS), and local vigilantes for preventing a mass kidnapping in the state.
According to reports from THISDAYLIVE, on September 21, 2026, at around 1am, security forces intercepted a group of armed bandits in Bakori Local Government Area, neutralizing 18 of them and recovering weapons and livestock. The operation took place at Gidan Iyado in Kakumi Ward.
Governor Radda expressed his gratitude to the security personnel involved, acknowledging their diligence and commitment to protecting the people of Katsina. He emphasized that such collaborative efforts are crucial for maintaining peace and stability in the region.
