Lagos Police Investigate Officers Over Alleged Extortion in Viral Video

In a shocking turn of events, the Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into its personnel following a viral video that showed them allegedly extorting N20,000 from a motorcyclist. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the officers involved are attached to the Makinde Divisional Headquarters in Lagos. The development comes after a video circulated online showing the officers demanding and receiving the sum of N20,000 from the motorcyclist before releasing him and his bike. Daily Post Nigeria reports that the Command has identified these officers and directed them to report to the Command Headquarters for questioning.
