In a move that signals growing political interest among young Nigerians, a student-led group known as KOH 4 Lagos Students Movement has adopted the incumbent Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, for the 2027 Lagos governorship election. According to Punch Newspapers, this endorsement comes amidst a series of campaigns by political parties in preparation for the elections.
It is worth noting that Hamzat’s decision to seek re-election in 2027 has not been officially confirmed by him or the All Progressives Congress (APC) yet. However, in an interview with Peoples Gazette Nigeria, Hamzat expressed his confidence in being the best candidate for Lagos in the upcoming election.
This student endorsement follows a campaign rally organized by the Lagos APC, which took Tinubu and Hamzat’s campaign to Nigerians residing in the United States. The event was reported by Punch Newspapers.
