The Lagos State Government is set to increase its support for the creative industry through skills development, expanded training opportunities, and infrastructure provision. This commitment was made by the state’s Deputy Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, during the official commissioning of Euphoria360 Hub, a facility established by actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo. According to a report by Vanguard News, Hamzat spoke on Tuesday about the government’s plans to foster growth in the sector.
Although there are no specific details about the proposed measures, Hamzat highlighted the importance of nurturing talents and providing necessary resources for the industry’s development. This pledge echoes a recent call by Hamzat for greater investment in Lagos’ creative industry as reported by Nigeria Lagos on Google News.
The creative industry, which includes film, music, arts, and fashion, has been growing steadily in Nigeria, with Lagos being a significant hub. This sector is crucial for job creation, cultural preservation, and the country’s overall economic development.
