Activist and media expert, Austine Aghomi, has challenged the Delta State Government to release the report of the administrative panel of inquiry into the death of Unity Ekwevugbe Adeda. According to a report by Vanguard News, Aghomi, Coordinator of Journalists for Just Development, expressed concerns over the lack of transparency in the handling of the case. He called on the state government to publish a white paper stating its position on the findings of the panel. The death of Adeda, a 25-year-old woman, sparked protests and calls for justice in Delta State earlier this year. The state government had set up a panel of inquiry to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death, but the report has not been made public. Aghomi’s call for the release of the report comes as a demand for accountability and justice for Adeda and her family. While the Delta State Government has not yet responded to Aghomi’s call, the activist’s actions underscore the need for transparency and justice in the administration of justice in Nigeria. The case of Unity Ekwevugbe Adeda is a reminder of the importance of holding those in power accountable for their actions, and the need for the rule of law to be upheld.
