The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over the distribution of ₦1 billion worth of Prado SUVs to youth leaders. According to a report by Vanguard News, the NDC criticized the government’s economic policies, saying that Nigerians had been asked to endure hardship while political leaders continued to enjoy expensive benefits. The NDC argued that such extravagant spending was a misuse of public funds and a demonstration of the APC’s disregard for the suffering of ordinary Nigerians. This is not the first time the NDC has criticized the APC over alleged corruption. In the past, the party has accused the government of mismanaging the country’s resources and prioritizing the interests of the elite over those of the masses. The distribution of the Prado SUVs comes at a time when the Nigerian economy is struggling, with rising inflation and unemployment rates. The NDC’s criticism is likely to fuel ongoing debates about the APC’s economic policies and their impact on ordinary Nigerians.
