According to reports from Daily Post Nigeria, the visit was aimed at strengthening bilateral defence relations and advancing African-led responses to evolving security threats. The COAS conveyed the goodwill of the Nigerian Army and discussed matters of mutual interest with President Kagame. The meeting underscores the growing defence ties between Nigeria and Rwanda, and the shared commitment to combat regional security challenges. This visit follows a series of efforts by both countries to enhance their military cooperation. The exact details of the cooperation are yet to be disclosed, but it is expected that the two nations will collaborate in addressing common security threats such as terrorism. According to Punch Newspapers, the main objective of the visit was to strengthen defence cooperation against terrorism.
