In a nail-biting Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 10 encounter at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Saturday, Katsina United staged a late comeback against Plateau United, denying the latter a win with a 2-2 draw. Umar Rabiu scored an own goal in the 30th minute to hand Plateau United the lead. The visitors further extended their lead through Jibril Ibrahim in the 82nd minute, seemingly putting the match out of reach for Katsina United. However, the home team refused to concede defeat. With only a few minutes remaining, they launched a series of attacks, culminating in a goal by Aliyu Ibrahim in the 88th minute. The momentum swung in Katsina United’s favour, and they equalized in the 93rd minute through a goal by Chima Okorie. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the draw leaves Katsina United in 11th place on the NPFL table, while Plateau United remain in third place. The draw adds to the unpredictability of the NPFL this season, with no team yet dominating the competition.
