Peter Obi Claims Tinubu Produced Highest Number of Poor Nigerians

During the inauguration of the NDC’s campaign council in Kaduna State on Monday, Peter Obi criticised President Tinubu over Nigeria’s rising poverty level. Obi questioned what Nigerians had gained under Tinubu’s leadership, stating that under his administration, more Nigerians have been plunged into poverty than ever before. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Obi made these comments while speaking at the event. It is worth noting that the claim made by Obi has not been independently verified.

This statement comes as the nation grapples with a growing economic crisis, with many Nigerians struggling to make ends meet. Obi, who is a known critic of the Tinubu administration, has been vocal about the need for a change in leadership to address the country’s economic woes.

The Tinubu administration has not yet responded to Obi’s claims. However, the issue of poverty has been a contentious topic during the ongoing election season, with many candidates promising to tackle the issue if elected.
