Nigerian singer Omah Lay, whose real name is Stanley Didia, has postponed his world tour following a knee injury, Daily Post Nigeria reports. In a statement shared on his social media handle on Monday, the ‘Godly’ singer announced that he is currently undergoing treatment for a knee ligament injury and will be focusing on recovery over the next four to six weeks. According to the publication, this decision was not made lightly, as Omah Lay has built a strong following since his debut in 2019. The ‘Damn’ hitmaker has performed at several high-profile events, including the 2020 Headies Awards and the 2021 Afro Nation Portugal. Despite the setback, Omah Lay’s management team remains optimistic that the tour will resume once he has fully recovered. This development comes after the singer was recently arrested in Uganda for violating COVID-19 regulations during a concert, sparking a wave of public outcry and diplomatic tension between Nigeria and Uganda. In a Twitter post, Omah Lay expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support during this challenging time. Read more on Daily Post Nigeria
