Stallion Group Contests Court Ruling, Files Appeal and Stay of Execution

In a move to challenge the verdict delivered by the Federal High Court, Lagos on October 16, 2026, the Stallion Group has filed an appeal against the judgment in Suit No. FHC/L/CS/2074/2023: UBA Plc and Ors v. Stallion, according to THISDAYLIVE. The court had ruled in favor of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc and other parties in a case that was first filed in 2023. The conglomerate, however, is not satisfied with the decision and has taken the legal route to contest it. The Stallion Group has also filed for a stay of execution, hoping to halt any actions that may be taken against them while the appeal is ongoing. This latest development highlights the ongoing legal battle between the Stallion Group and UBA Plc, a situation that is being closely watched by the business community in Nigeria. It is not yet clear when the appeal will be heard or when a decision will be made.
