Asiwaju Tinubu Departs Abuja for Saudi Arabia to Perform Umrah
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, former Lagos governor and presidential candidate, has departed Abuja for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, a prominent Nigerian politician and former governor of Lagos State, has departed Abuja for Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, according to multiple news sources. This follows the tradition of many Muslims who undertake a pilgrimage to Mecca, known as Hajj, and a smaller, personal pilgrimage to Mecca, known as Umrah. The departure of Tinubu, who is also the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was widely reported on Friday, October 29th. Vanguard News, Head Topics, LEADERSHIP Newspapers, and Western Post reported the departure. The exact date of his return is not specified in the reports. This is not the first time Tinubu has performed Umrah, having done so in the past in 2014 and 2018.
