President Tinubu Reacts to Drop in Transport Fares in Abuja by N1,000

In a statement, President Tinubu expressed delight at the positive impact of the Affordable CNG Transport Programme, which aims to reduce transportation costs for Nigerians. The President’s reaction comes amid a viral video released as part of the initiative, showcasing the reduced fares on CNG-powered buses in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. According to Daily Post Nigeria, Tinubu’s statement highlighted the programme’s potential to alleviate the burden of high transportation costs on ordinary Nigerians.

Although the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and the Federal Government have not officially announced the commencement of the CNG programme, the President’s reaction suggests that the initiative is progressing as planned. This development is significant as it could potentially reduce transportation costs for millions of Nigerians, especially those living in urban areas like Abuja.
