Atiku Abubakar’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe, has asked the Presidency to give Nigerians a definite return date for President Bola Tinubu from his Umrah trip to Saudi Arabia. According to Ibe, who made this statement on Thursday via his social media handle, the absence of the President, who departed for Makkah, has raised concerns among Nigerians.
This call comes after the Presidency announced Tinubu’s departure for Saudi Arabia. However, the exact date of his return has not been disclosed yet.
In a separate development, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, clarified that the President is going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, not medical treatment, as speculated by some individuals. According to Olusegun, he made this clarification in response to human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, who had questioned the purpose of Tinubu’s trip.
While the exact return date of President Tinubu remains uncertain, his absence has sparked discussions about the role of the President in governance and the need for transparency regarding his whereabouts.
