Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, is known for his bold and purposeful political moves. After being part of the People’s Democratic Party’s G5 governors in 2022-2023, Wike is now spearheading a new political alliance called the Rainbow Coalition, according to Premium Times Nigeria (Premium Times Nigeria).
Wike’s new coalition has sparked some concern among governors opposed to it, who fear it might weaken the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), as reported by THISDAYLIVE (THISDAYLIVE). However, Wike insists the coalition is not intended to weaken the APC. He reaffirmed his support for APC leader Bola Tinubu in a statement to Vanguard News (Vanguard News).
