After a prolonged feud that spanned over five years, Nigerian gospel singers Yinka Alaseyori and Tope Alabi have reportedly reconciled. Daily Post Nigeria broke the news on October 28, 2026, citing sources close to both parties. The conflict between the two ministers of God began in June 2021, when Tope Alabi publicly criticized Alaseyori’s hit song, Oniduro Mi, which translates to ‘my guarantor’. Tope Alabi claimed that referring to God as a guarantor understates the divine being’s role in the lives of believers. The ensuing exchange of words escalated into a public spat that attracted the attention of the gospel music industry and fans. However, details regarding the reconciliation are yet to be made public. The reconciliation, if confirmed, may signal a healing in the gospel music industry and a renewed commitment to unity among its leading figures.
