2027: Aiyedatiwa Backs Tinubu for Second Term

In a significant endorsement for the 2027 presidential elections, Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu, expressing his belief that the incumbent leader deserves a second term. According to a report by Vanguard News, Aiyedatiwa made these remarks during the inauguration of the Ondo State chapter of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, where 26 campaign buses were unveiled. The governor praised Tinubu for his demonstration of courage and vision in repositioning Nigeria, saying he is a ‘phenomenon’ who has shown exceptional leadership.

However, it is worth noting that the endorsement comes amidst speculations about the challenges President Tinubu may face in his bid for a second term. Peter Akpatason, a member of the House of Representatives and former president of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has acknowledged the hardship associated with some of the administration’s economic reforms, suggesting potential hurdles in Tinubu’s re-election bid.
