The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has issued a warning to Nigerians, urging them to be wary of promises made by opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections. According to a report by Tribune Online, the APC PCC, led by President Tinubu, has placed economic restructuring, investment mobilisation, and job creation as top priorities for the next administration.
Speaking on behalf of the APC PCC, the Director of Strategic Communications, Bayo Onanuga, urged Nigerians to be cautious of promises made by opposition parties, particularly those that seem too good to be true. Onanuga emphasized that the APC is committed to delivering on its promises and has a proven track record of delivering on its manifesto.
This warning comes as the 2027 elections approach, with several opposition parties gearing up to challenge the APC for power. The opposition parties have been criticised for making promises that are unrealistic and lack detail, with some analysts suggesting that they are playing to the gallery and offering little substance.
The APC PCC’s warning is a clear indication that it is taking the threat from opposition parties seriously and is determined to ensure that it delivers on its promises to Nigerians. The 2027 elections are expected to be hotly contested, with the outcome likely to have a significant impact on the future of Nigeria.
