Jigawa Recruits Additional 2,000 Secondary School Teachers

In a bid to improve the quality of education in Jigawa State, the state government has announced the recruitment of an additional 2,000 secondary school teachers. According to Premium Times Nigeria, the appointment letters were presented to the new teachers on October 2nd, comprising 1,100 permanent and pensionable appointments and 920 under the J-Teach programme. The Punch Newspapers also reported the recruitment drive, stating that the teachers will be deployed across public primary and secondary schools in the state to fill existing gaps. This move is expected to enhance the learning experience for students in Jigawa State, a significant step towards improving Nigeria’s education sector.
