Chief Daniel Osikheme Orbih, the former Chairman of the Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, was laid to rest on Saturday. His passing has sparked reflections on mortality, with Bishop Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide urging Nigerians to prepare for their own deaths. According to a report by Tribune Online, the burial ceremony took place in his hometown of Irrua in Edo State. Orbih, who served as a commissioner in Edo State and was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was 72 years old at the time of his death. Bishop Oyedepo, in a sermon delivered at the Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, urged Nigerians to prioritize their spiritual lives and prepare for the inevitable. ‘Death is a certainty for everyone,’ he said. ‘It is not a matter of if, but when. We must therefore live our lives in a way that pleases God and prepares us for eternity.’ The Bishop’s message is a poignant reminder of the importance of preparing for the future, both spiritually and practically.
