In a recent development, former Imo State governor Rochas Okorocha has vehemently denied reports claiming that a ‘senior magistrate’s court’ in Abuja issued a bench warrant of arrest on 9 September against him, Senator Ifeanyi Araraume, and two others. According to a report by Premium Times Nigeria, the post Rochas Okorocha refutes report of arrest order against him appeared first on their platform. However, Okorocha, through his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, issued a statement refuting the claims, stating that the report is false and should be disregarded by the public. It is unclear at this time if the court in question has confirmed or denied the existence of such a warrant. Okorocha, a former senator, has been embroiled in a series of legal battles since leaving office in 2019, including allegations of land grabbing and corruption. His denial of this latest claim adds another layer to the ongoing legal saga.
