In a surprising move, Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, better known as Tompolo, has unveiled 57 campaign vehicles for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, Nigeria. This development comes as a strategic move by the former militant leader, who is believed to hold significant influence in the Niger Delta region. According to reports from Nigeria Lagos on Google News, Tompolo urged Lagosians to avoid the mistakes of the past and support Tinubu’s re-election bid. It is worth noting that Tompolo’s support could play a crucial role in the forthcoming elections, given his strong influence in the region. In a separate report by THISDAYLIVE, Tompolo donated 25 vehicles in Kogi State, urging voters to mobilize and re-elect Tinubu in the 2027 election to sustain ongoing reforms. As the election season gears up, the political landscape in Nigeria continues to evolve, and the support of influential figures like Tompolo could sway the outcome of the elections. However, it remains to be seen whether Tinubu will be able to maintain the same level of support he enjoyed in the 2023 elections.
