According to a report by Vanguard News, civil servants and artisans in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for re-election in 2027. The endorsement was announced by the FCT coordinator of Working People United (WoPU), Comrade Musa Fadawa, on Wednesday in Abuja. Fadawa described the endorsement as a testament to Tinubu’s performance and his commitment to the welfare of FCT residents. The workers pledged to mobilise supporters across the six Area Councils for Tinubu’s second-term bid. This endorsement follows a similar one by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in September, where the NLC president, Ayuba Wabba, called on Nigerians to support Tinubu’s re-election. Tinubu’s re-election bid is expected to be a significant political event in 2027, with the incumbent president facing challenges from various political parties. The endorsement by the FCT civil servants and artisans is likely to boost Tinubu’s chances of securing another term in office.
