Tinubu Champions Local Engineers for Gas Pipeline Capacity Development

President Bola Tinubu, in a recent statement, has reiterated his pledge to unlock Nigeria’s gas resources for industrial use, electricity generation, job creation, and export earnings enhancement. This commitment comes as the Lee Engineering Group is constructing two key projects, one of which is a gas pipeline. Tinubu’s support for indigenous engineering firms is aimed at empowering them to contribute significantly to major energy projects across the country. According to Vanguard News, the President made these remarks against the backdrop of the Lee Engineering Group’s construction projects. While the specifics of these projects were not detailed, the news outlet reported that Tinubu believes these projects will contribute to Nigeria’s energy sector development. PM News Nigeria also reported on Tinubu’s vow to unlock Nigeria’s gas resources, although the details of this initiative remain unclear.
