2027: Tinubu’s Second Term Push for Policy Consolidation

In a significant development, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Banwo Mayowa, has advocated for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. Mayowa, a former member of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, believes that Tinubu’s administration needs more time to consolidate its economic reforms and infrastructure projects. Mayowa made the appeal in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, according to Punch Newspapers. This call for a second term comes amidst contrasting views, as the Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and former Governor of Kano State, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has declared that Tinubu’s administration does not deserve a second term, citing inadequacies in addressing insecurity and poverty in the country, as reported by Vanguard News.
